Amazon Drops Grubhub For Uber Eats, Offers $0 Delivery On $25 Prime Orders
Updated on Fri, Nov 6, 2026
Amazon has officially replaced Grubhub with Uber Eats as its restaurant delivery partner for U.S. Prime members. The switch brings $0 delivery fees on eligible orders of $25 or more, but it doesn't immediately end every existing Grubhub+ benefit.
TL;DR
- Amazon has ended its restaurant delivery partnership with Grubhub and selected Uber Eats as its new Prime partner in the U.S.
- Prime members can order through Amazon.com or the Amazon Shopping app without creating a separate Uber account, with $0 delivery fees on eligible orders of $25 or more.
- Previously activated Grubhub+ memberships remain usable until December 31, 2027.
Amazon Makes Uber Eats Its Official Restaurant Delivery Partner For Prime
Under the partnership announced by Amazon and Uber on November 5, 2026, Prime subscribers can now order meals through Uber Eats without leaving Amazon's shopping ecosystem.
Customers can access the service through Amazon.com or the Amazon Shopping app, browse nearby restaurants, and complete their orders using their existing Amazon credentials and payment methods. There's no need to download another application or create a new Uber account.
The integration gives Prime members access to hundreds of thousands of restaurants across nearly 10,000 U.S. cities and towns, according to Amazon.
For Amazon, the arrangement adds another membership benefit, while Uber Eats gains a direct connection to Prime customers.
Amazon Prime Members Get $0 Uber Eats Delivery And A $20 Launch Discount
Prime subscribers ordering from participating restaurants through Amazon will pay no delivery fee on eligible orders of $25 or more.
However, Uber's official partnership guidance clarifies that service fees, taxes, and tips may still apply. The benefit currently covers restaurant delivery, not grocery or retail orders.
To celebrate the launch, Amazon and Uber are offering Prime members $20 off each of their first two qualifying Uber Eats orders of at least $25. The introductory promotion is available during the first 14 days of the partnership.
Amazon also estimates that the new benefit and associated promotions could save members more than $175 annually, although actual savings depend on ordering habits and applicable offers.
Meanwhile, the arrival of Uber Eats brings an important change for existing Grubhub users.
Amazon Ends Grubhub Partnership, But Existing Grubhub+ Benefits Continue Through 2027
As per reports, Amazon's commercial agreement with Grubhub officially ended on November 5, 2026.
This means Prime members can no longer place Grubhub orders through Amazon's website or shopping app.
However, those who previously activated their complimentary Grubhub+ membership through Prime can continue using that subscription until December 31, 2027, as confirmed by Grubhub.
The relationship dates back to 2022, when Amazon began offering Prime subscribers complimentary access to Grubhub+. In 2024, the companies expanded their agreement to make the membership benefit ongoing.
The arrangement also extended beyond food delivery. Amazon secured an agreement with Grubhub's then-owner, Just Eat Takeaway.com, that could have increased its equity stake in the delivery company to as much as 18%.
However, Amazon elected to cash out its outstanding exercisable warrants in December 2024, according to Just Eat Takeaway.com's annual report. Grubhub was subsequently sold to Wonder, although its commercial relationship with Amazon continued until the latest switch.

Amazon And Uber Expand Their Existing Partnership Across Delivery And Technology
The latest development strengthens an existing relationship between Amazon and Uber, which already spans cloud computing, Zoox robotaxis, and an Uber Eats integration with Amazon's Alexa+ AI assistant.
The restaurant delivery partnership adds another customer-facing dimension to that relationship, allowing Amazon to bring meal ordering into the same shopping experience Prime members already use.
For Uber Eats, the agreement opens another channel for reaching restaurant delivery customers, while Amazon moves away from its long-standing Grubhub arrangement.
