Data models facilitate communication between business and technical development by accurately representing the information system's requirements and by designing responses needed for those requirements. Data models help represent what data is required, what format it should be in, and how it can support business processes. A data model is a way of describing the structure and elements of your data. It can be concrete or abstract. It has the following main components: Data types: The basic kinds of information in your data. For example, "person" or "employee." Data items: Specific instances of those data types. For example, John Doe, a person, and Jane Smith, an employee. Data sources: How you get your data, what it comes from and how you collect it. That could be anything from a database to a spreadsheet to a survey response. Event sources: Events that cause changes in the state of your system and its data. These events may also trigger other events. For example, John Doe's birthday might trigger an event that sends him a birthday card from his boss at work (which then triggers another event when he opens it). Data models are the stuff of dreams. You know, the ones that you have right before you wake up? The ones where you're on top of a mountain, and all your friends are there, and they're all super happy? Or it's just a beach with a beautiful sunset over the water. Whatever it is, those moments are made possible by data models. It requires expertise, domain knowledge, and the ability to navigate different datasets to find the ones that have the information needed to solve a particular issue. Data consumers can search for data that meets their requirements. Once the information is selected, it is downloaded and used for a specific business objective. There is a new standard in town, and the digital standard is here to stay. Digital Video Broadcasting-Satellite Second Generation (DVB-S2) has been around since 2003, and it's finally picking up steam with broadcasters and consumers alike. BIP 148

It would be best to consider what's out there and what's not. When looking at your data, it's essential to ask yourself: "Do I need this?" if so, how much? Once you've figured out what needs to stay and what can go, you'll want to look at how much space each file takes up on your system. This is where data classification comes into play: You'll want to classify each file based on its type and size so that they can be organized into groups by category and size. This will allow you to see which groups are taking up the most storage space on your system and which aren't using enough! Then comes virtualization: Once all your files have been classified and categorized by type/size/category/etc., then it's time for them all.
